Rubbish Skateboard park and general public areas

Sent to Hart District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4818837.
Over the past month the bins in the Hook public areas appear to no get emptied for weeks at a time. These include Harletts Park, Wellworth Park and Bell Meadow where the bins have been full to busting.
Now that the new skateboard park has opened it is inevitably very popular not only with children but also with adults. There is RUBBISH everywhere around the new skateboard park which is in turn blowing onto the main park areas. Please ensure that all bins are emptied daily including the dog bins as these are also being used for general rubbish.
If we could have signage to suggest that people take their rubbish with them this would also help. I do a daily clean-up while walking my dog of the disgusting mess that is left by parents around the school gates.

Thank you for taking the time to contact fix my street, the Parish Council is disappointed and saddened to read your comments our contractor takes great pride in their work and will often carry out additional visits if required to keep the areas managed by the Parish Council clear for all to enjoy. I would be grateful if you could provide photos of the areas you have raised concerns about in your feedback to (amenities@hook.gov.uk) and I can investigate this further. Thank you for your continued efforts in keeping Hook clean and for contacting fix my street.

This is now a daily occurrence I clean it up everyday and everyday there is more rubbish dropped around the park. No extra bins have been provided. A the area where the people congregate to leave their gear is the worst of all.

Thank you for your updates and continued support in keeping the site clear or rubbish. I am currently in the process of collating quotes for an additional bin for the site, the costs to consider are not only purchasing of a bin, but installing it and ongoing emptying of it. These prices will be discussed by Councillors at the next Environment and Community Meeting. Thank you again for taking the time to feedback, I am now back from annual leave and will also continue my daily visits to the site.
Kindest Regards
Sarah Environment and Community Officer Hook Parish Council

I continue to press for a resolution on Hook rubbish problems but there is no further progress. There needs to be an all out campaign to Keep Hook Tidy. However before this can happen the council needs to provide adequate facilities for people to put their rubbish in.

Despite continued communication with the council the issue continues. Much worse now that the skate park is officially opened. Lack of amenities and a continuous health hazard.
