Narrow road, parked vehicles, large visiting traffic

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 16:10, Wed 1 December 2021

Sent to Hart District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3153926.

Nowadays when parked cars are so much wider, the narrow Palace Gate road is not passable to heavy visiting traffic (eg council collection lorries, building deliveries to 47, fire engines, etc.) without them mounting the pavement and grassed edge of the adjacent property. Can a solution please be found to avoid further damage.

  • Further down Palace Gate, beyond the vehicular entrance to the retirement properties, this is the road leading to Nos. 47 and 48 which borders PG retirement properties - again further damage on dates shown, cars were parked but are not visible in these photos, others available.
