Vehicles blocking driveways
Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 08:58, Thu 8 October 2020
Sent to Hart District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2331207.
Everyday with school traffic and play park visitors, vehicles are being parked over the white lines marking residents drop curbs. This makes is very difficult to get off/on driveways. In come cases driveways are fully blocked. We need traffic enforcement on Merivale please.

Still a daily issue with School and playpark visitors. Usually worse at the weekends when selfish parents fill Merivale with cars in every available space even if it's on driveways line, double yellow lines, in/on junctions. The council claim they have parking wardens that patrol but I've not seen them take action.

Terrible parking - 4ft from the curb, 10ft from the next car and blocking the driveway!

Issue not resolved. People can't park properly, council don't enforce. The issue is made worse due to the newly built children's playpark which attracts alot of visitors, even during the pandemic lockdown. These people turn up with huge vehicles and because they don't want to walk further than 5 metres, will park wherever they see a spot, even if there vehicle doesn't fit the space!

School run traffic. Could care less about the quality of their parking because "I'll just be a few minutes"!

Still an issue. Council have said "we require consent from the owner at the time of contravention, to ensure that the contravening vehicle is not owned by the resident or a friend." So as long you park badly and walk away quickly then there is nothing anyone can do......!
