Traveling Community Encampment

Reported in the Street nameplates category anonymously at 21:35, Wed 29 July 2020

Sent to Hart District Council less than a minute later

A traveling community encampment is using what I believe to be a public space adjacent to a children’s playground. The footpaths are blocked by vehicles and caravans and wires from generators are forming a trip hazard. The area is used for recreational purposes including those, like me, who use it for exercise whilst in lockdown. I believe that the presence of the camp is likely to be intimidating to members of the public who wish to use the park area as I personally experienced today. The encampment appeared during 29 Jul 20 as there are insufficient bollards preventing vehicular access to the space.
