Blockage in drain

Reported anonymously at 08:30, Thursday 14 November 2019

Sent to Hampshire County Council and Hart District Council 5 minutes later

The drains are blocked somewhere between Penny Cottage and Greensleeves House in Deptford Lane Greywell . Therefore water is rising out of the drain at Penny Cottage and overflowing the road until it can next go down a drain. All the water which comes down from the Street, Hook Road and from the Fox and Goose which is a lot in the current downpours are flowing over the road causing problems for pedestrians and drivers alike. Thi s has been like this for a couple of weeks now.

Updates

  • Everytime it rains the water is flowing over the road ie today 22/11/19 and cyclists runners pedestrians families with pushchairs are forced to walk in the middle of the road or be walking in water. I have been told it is not dangerous but it does become so in increased traffic situations and particularly in these dark days.
