Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) tree Reported anonymously at 12:29, Mon 17 May 2021 Hi there, at the bottom of the garden of remembrance in Fleet cemetery, right next to a garden fence, there is a tall Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) tree that is dropping a large number of Rowan berries in our garden. We have two young children and although every summer we make a big effort to remove all the berries from our garden it’s been impossible to remove them all. They are not to be eaten as they contain a high level of parasorbic acid and this causes a lot of worry and a danger to the children, last summer my youngest child also got a berry stuck up her nose. If this tree could please be trimmed back so we don’t have this huge quantity of berries falling in our garden every year. Thank you.
